
Biography
Monika Kulihová was born in April 1979 in Slovakia. Even as a young girl drew and sewed her own personal fashion. Quickly, friends and classmates where interested in having their dream dresses tailored.
Her great love for fashion, her creative talent and the desire for immaculate perfection led her to the Academy JAK in Hamburg, where she successfully studied fashion design.
She participated at the national competition „Catwork 2005“ from BURDA, Germany as well as the international competition “Concours international des jeunes créateures de mode” in Paris, France in 2005.
Monika Kulihová works as a freelancer. Since 2006 she works with international stylist Ingo Nahrwold on a regular basis and is designing diverse outfits for Schwarzkopf campaigns or international singer NENA.
Her work can be seen in major magazines like TUSH, INDIE, Park Avenue, Glamour or Gala. Many celebrities like NENA, Eva Padberg, Crystal Renn, Katarina Witt, Franziska Knuppe, Nandini Mitra or Dominique Hollington have worn her designs.
Eye catching details, noble materials and excellent workmanship characterize Monika Kulihovás work. In close consultation with her clients, the young designer creates custom dream outfits for business, or the big gala show appearance.
